On behalf of our client, HR World Ltd is seeking an Information Systems Auditor. The successful candidate will provide independent assurance that the bank’s corporate governance, risk management, internal controls, and compliance frameworks are effectively established. Additionally, the role involves conducting both general and application control assessments across the bank’s technology infrastructure and information systems environment.
Position: Information System Auditor
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver assurance on the sufficiency and effectiveness of IT governance, risk management, and control processes across information systems and related operations.
- Conduct reviews of information controls, including system development protocols, operational procedures, security measures, programming standards, communication safeguards, backup and disaster recovery strategies, and system maintenance practices.
- Assess and evaluate internal controls surrounding IT systems to ensure their adequacy and efficiency.
- Develop an annual ICT audit plan that addresses all risks linked to the current IT environment.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies on IT audit-related matters handled by internal audit.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of internal audit manuals, policies, procedures, and audit programs.
- Evaluate IT-related projects and other initiatives requiring ICT expertise to provide assurance.
- Validate data integrity during system updates or modifications.
- Support revenue assurance activities to ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Assist in conducting audits, investigations, reviews, inspections, and unannounced checks, and report on findings.
- Facilitate effective communication within the internal audit unit and with other departments to promote teamwork and coordination.
- Continuously enhance and maintain risk management procedures and systems, covering risk identification, assessment, monitoring, mitigation, and reporting.
Qualifications;
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer Science from highly recognized institution eg. UDSM
- CISA Certification
- 3+ years of experience working as Information System Auditor.
- Ability to work independently on ICT audit assignments and provide adequate opinion that add value to the organization.
