Position Title: Branch Manager – USA River

The Branch Manager is responsible for achieving Retail and SME financial targets by utilizing top-tier sales and service strategies within approved product frameworks. The role involves close coordination with the Central Operations Unit to ensure the branch runs smoothly and meets regulatory standards set by the Bank of Tanzania and other relevant authorities. The manager will also be expected to handle corporate client services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the branch’s operations to ensure strong business results and high-quality customer service.
  • Drive growth in deposits (CASA), fees, and sales performance, while ensuring operational compliance and control.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the customer base to build and expand profitable relationships.
  • Acquire new clients and deepen engagement with current customers.
  • Ensure branch operational efficiency and staff productivity.
  • Maintain systems operations and accurate, up-to-date transaction records, including interbank dealings.
  • Prepare and submit routine and compliance reports.
  • Ensure adherence to internal control processes, particularly concerning financial security.
  • Solve complex issues by collaborating with other branches or departments to provide seamless customer service.
  • Foster a strong service culture through employee coaching, support, and motivation.
  • Represent the bank in local community activities to enhance visibility and generate new business.
  • Take on additional responsibilities in the absence of the Operations Manager or as assigned by the Cluster Head.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related fields, along with professional certifications in banking, marketing, or finance.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the banking industry.
  • Proven leadership, banking, and team management capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements, sales strategies, and business operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and sound judgment.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to build long-term relationships.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
