The E-Government Agency (EGA) is a public institution under the Government of Tanzania, established to coordinate, oversee, and promote the implementation of e-Government initiatives in the country. Its primary goal is to enhance public service delivery through the effective use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). EGA develops and maintains shared digital platforms, guidelines, and standards to ensure government institutions operate in a secure, interoperable, and efficient digital environment. This includes systems such as the Government Mailing System (GMS), Government e-Office, and various online service portals that improve transparency and access to services for citizens and businesses alike.

To further support digital transformation in Tanzania, the E-Government Agency (EGA) collaborates closely with various stakeholders, including government ministries, departments, agencies, and international development partners.
