Position: Junior Accountant
Location: Arusha
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary Range: TZS 300,000 to 600,000

Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their finance department. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting routine accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Main Duties Include:

• Recording daily financial transactions and updating the general ledger
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annually)
• Reconciling bank statements and tracking accounts receivable/payable
• Supporting inventory control and asset management
• Ensuring proper documentation and storage of financial data
• Assisting senior accounting staff with audits and tax filing
• Adhering to internal financial policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance (internships count)
• Good grasp of basic accounting concepts
• Proficient in Excel and accounting tools such as QuickBooks or Tally
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
