Job Overview
NMB Bank Plc., originally established in 1997 as the National Microfinance Bank, has grown into one of Tanzania’s leading full-service commercial banks. It operates across three core divisions—Retail, Wholesale, and Treasury—serving individuals, farmers, SMEs, corporations, institutions, and government clients.
As of late 2022 and into 2023, NMB reported total assets of approximately TSh 10.2 trillion (roughly USD 4.1 billion), managed over 8.6 million customer accounts, maintained around 240 branches, over 50,900 agents, and more than 714 ATMs across mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, with a workforce exceeding 3,800 employees.
The bank is publicly listed on the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange, with major shareholders including Arise B.V. (34.9 %) and the Government of Tanzania (31.8 %).
