Work Location: Based in Dar es Salaam with regular travel to various Advent Construction project sites.

Position Summary
The Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for ensuring high construction standards across all Advent projects. This role involves conducting daily inspections, enforcing quality requirements, addressing any non-conformities, and making sure each project meets the company’s rigorous benchmarks. The ideal candidate will have sharp attention to detail, strong technical expertise, and a drive for delivering excellence.
Main Duties
- Perform inspections and testing of construction works and materials.
- Ensure compliance with all quality specifications and industry standards.
- Detect and address quality-related issues during the project lifecycle.
- Keep detailed records of inspections and quality activities.
- Work with project teams to introduce and maintain quality improvements.
- Assist during internal and external quality audits.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on quality metrics and inspection outcomes.
Candidate Profile
- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Proven experience in construction quality control within Tanzania and/or East Africa.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and safety guidelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach—able to fix issues independently rather than just report them.
- Team player with effective collaboration skills.
- Certification in quality control (CQI, CQA) will be an added advantage.
- Familiar with quality management systems and methodologies.
