Job Purpose
To manage and expand a portfolio of high-net-worth (affluent) clients by delivering tailored financial solutions, ensuring top-tier customer service, and contributing to business growth through proactive sales and relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Relationship Management
- Meet sales targets for new and existing clients across products (accounts, loans, investments).
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to offer appropriate financial solutions.
- Promote digital and alternative banking channels (e.g., online banking, insurance).
- Actively pursue leads and convert them into long-term clients through value-driven packages.
- Review client portfolios to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Support customers in financial planning and wealth growth.
- Monitor use of credit and investment facilities, addressing underperformance or issues.
- Maintain relationships with influential and high-profile clients through regular interactions and tailored events.
- Take full ownership of client relationships, managing all levels of contact within the bank.
- Prepare monthly reports on client meetings and sales progress.
Customer Service
- Oversee smooth execution of customer requests and escalate systemic service issues when necessary.
- Log, follow up, and resolve client complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Uphold high standards of customer care and service delivery.
Risk and Compliance
- Ensure all staff understand and follow internal controls and risk frameworks.
- Provide necessary audit documentation during reviews.
- Log any risk or loss events, investigating thoroughly and escalating when required.
- Monitor team compliance training and ensure timely completion.
- Conduct monthly compliance reviews of customer files, ensuring all KYC, AML, and sanctions documentation is up to date.
- Review and approve account openings and loan documentation to ensure compliance.
Business Operations
- Lead client engagement activities at branch level.
- Identify resource needs (staff, equipment, budget) and raise to management.
- Understand and communicate departmental strategy, aligning team goals accordingly.
- Monitor and drive performance metrics (e.g., customer satisfaction, ROI, compliance).
- Analyze performance data and recommend improvements.
- Support process enhancements and coach staff for improved productivity.
Additional Duties
- Handle any tasks delegated by the Branch Manager.
- Prepare business proposals and reports for senior management review.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 4 years of banking experience, preferably in a branch setting.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, practices, and regulations.
