Role Overview:

This position is responsible for expanding the bank’s business by nurturing client relationships and managing key and potential customers. The role focuses on promoting the bank’s liability products, client acquisition, cash management solutions, credit cards, and retail offerings to achieve revenue targets and meet sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary contact for a designated customer portfolio, ensuring all banking needs are addressed.
  • Increase CASA balances within the assigned client base according to set targets.
  • Achieve fee income objectives from the existing customer portfolio.
  • Deliver tailored and attentive banking services, including regular account reviews to help clients make informed financial decisions.
  • Identify and act on cross-selling opportunities within the assigned clients.
  • Maintain a sales and service query database to help assess branch performance and improve customer service.
  • Collaborate with branch managers to foresee critical issues, identify potential opportunities, and provide expert guidance to all stakeholders.
  • Use referrals from current clients to onboard new accounts.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Exim Bank’s products and services to better serve customers.
  • Submit regular performance reports to the Branch Manager.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A university degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, with relevant professional certifications in finance, banking, or marketing.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and familiarity with emerging technological tools.

Key Competencies:

  • Ability to identify customer needs and offer suitable financial solutions.
  • Confident, goal-driven, and eager to take on new challenges.
  • Energetic, proactive, and capable of working independently under pressure.
  • Knowledge of structured trade finance, project financing, or syndication is an advantage.
  • Deep understanding of retail banking products such as deposits, client acquisition tools, cash management services, and credit cards.
  • Proven track record in sales and client relationship management within retail banking.

  • Promote efficiency by minimizing waste, suggesting improvements, and contributing to ongoing enhancements of banking practices.
