Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University and the global lead for the multi-country, Gavi-funded SHARP project (operating in Nigeria, Tanzania, and Côte d’Ivoire), is seeking an HPV Vaccination Specialist to support the rollout of an integrated HPV vaccination package in Lagos State. This position will work closely with the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (SPHCDA), as well as education, community, and healthcare stakeholders, to ensure effective implementation of the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and document biweekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings with community-based organizations (CBOs), Ward Development Committees, faith-based groups, and other local partners. This includes preparing agendas, recording minutes with actionable points, and ensuring follow-up on outstanding issues.
  • Monitor CBO milestones and deliverables, maintain an updated project tracker, highlight upcoming deadlines, and share weekly summaries to keep outputs on schedule.
  • Contribute to workplan and micro-budget preparation; track field activities and expenditures against approved plans, address variances, and recommend adjustments to maintain timelines and budget compliance.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing activities at national and state levels, including organizing trainings, meetings, field visits, and other events.
  • Maintain detailed records of program activities such as attendance lists, activity reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Track activity timelines and deliverables in collaboration with the program team.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for field operations, including procurement, transportation, and material distribution.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports by summarizing key activities.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences, health sciences, nursing, or related field.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in health or development program support.
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and community structures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and travel to project sites.
